In a world marked by conflict between economic and political systems after Twin Towers tragedy of 11 September 2001, representatives of the religions of the world travelled to Assisi on the invitation from Pope John Paul II to pray for the end of conflict and to jointly declare that religion must never become a cause of conflict, hatred and violence.
