GNNSJ led the entire external gold gilding of Sri Harmandir Sahib and its Darshani Diori. GNNSJ also supplied reinforcement steel for the rebuilding of the Akal Takhat Sahib (with Baba Utam Singh Ji of Kadur Sahib). The historic kar sewa (Community Endeavour) was commenced on 3rd February 1995 and completed by 14th March. This was the first time the building was gilded since the time of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

The Nishkam International Girls’ Spiritual Retreat 2026 was held in Kenya from 17–27 August, bringing together 60 girls, 20 educators and approximately 50 GNNSJ sewadars.
