Kenyan Infrastructure & Projects
In the early 1920s, the founder of the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha (GNNSJ), Sant Baba Puran Singh Ji settled in the town of Kericho, Kenya. It was here that he lived and worked for over 50 years.
After moving to the UK, GNNSJ began by supporting the local community in Handsworth before expanding its work to Kericho. Since the 1990s, GNNSJ have reinvested in the area, working on numerous infrastructure, aid and educational projects to empower the local citizens.

Project details:
The unique design of the Gurudwara has carefully preserved Sant Baba Puran Singh Ji’s (founder Saint of GNNSJ) modest workshop
‘Kericho Wagon Works’ and original family residence. Its architectural aesthetics have provided an iconic landmark to the town of Kericho.
Adjacent to Gurudwara is an accommodation block for use by priests, volunteers & pilgrims.
Nishkam Saint Puran Singh Institute
Location: Kericho, Kenya
Project details:
On the same complex as the Gurudwara, a technical institute has been created to provide further education courses and diplomas.
In 2008, the college was formally opened by the President of Kenya, Hon. Raila Odinga.
Students from across Kenya attend the college.
Live with Hope Centre Tailoring Unit
Location: Kericho, Kenya
Project details:
In 2014, this tailoring unit was constructed to provide employment opportunities for families struggling with HIV/AIDs.
Live with Hope Centre Nursery School
Location: Kericho, Kenya

In 2020, this nursery school was constructed to provide support for families struggling with HIV/AIDs.
Highlands Primary School

GNNSJ Kenya have worked closely with Highlands Primary School to upgrade their facilities.
Kericho Gateway
Location: Kericho, Kenya
Project details:
In 2023, GNNSJ built the Kericho Welcome Gateway as part of the town's beautification project.
Township Primary Rehabilitiation
Location: Kericho, Kenya
Project details:
GNNSJ Kenya worked closely with Township Primary School to upgrade their facilities for the benefit of their staff and students.
Kericho Women's Prison
Location: Kericho, Kenya
Project details:
In 2024, GNNSJ began the construction of a kitchen in the prison.
Previously GNNSJ have worked closely to donate clothes, toys and other items to the prisoners.
